Kinnaur is one of the twelve administrative districts of the state of Himachal Pradesh in northern India. The district is divided into three administrative areas and has six tehsils. The administrative headquarters of the district is at Reckong Peo.

The natural scenery all around and the eternal snow view are picturesque and charming. It is also known as Baspa Valley since Baspa River flows through this area. This is the most charming valley in the entire District of Kinnaur. Overlooking Sangla village stands the towering hill fort of Kamru.

There are few Buddhist Monasteries in Kalpa such as Gompa and Hu-Bu-Lan-car which are among the top tourist spots in the village. One can also relish the view of the serene river of Satluj that flows down the Himalayas and gets through the hilly surface of Kinnaur.
